running with mom

I have ton's of energy, I love to hop around and bounce. Mom realized this and has decided to make me run with her. She got this idea while in New Bedford this past weekend. She was bored and decided to go for a long run with Alicia's Husky Yukie.

They ran for about 4 miles and since Husky's are sled dogs, Yukie pulled her the whole entire time. Their run so great that mom got home and is now making me act like the damn husky.
I don't have endurance, and I have short legs. This is why I don't go down stairs. I mean please look at these legs, they are small.

I was fed a lot of water, my leash was put on and off we went to run around Washington Square park. . . Ok, as we all know 2 laps around the park is a mile. I did the first one and then when I realized that the second one was going to happen I did half and then layed on the ground like a dead cockroach.

NO WAY!! I need more time to build up endurance. I don't care about mom's bet with the "Oscars" and Swank winning. I am not a running Puppy. Sorry mom you are better off with the Husky.

Mom was gone, in comes Josh

Ok so I am all about the positive male role model, and when I found out that Frank's good friend Josh was comming to care for me, I got excited. I really don't know much about him other then our far too infrequent meetings. I met him once when I was a brand new puppy at my old apartment, and another time when he came over to drink wine with mom and frank. I can tell you this. He has a great big red bag that smells way too good for me not to try and climb into, and he is really tall. He stayed with me when mom was in New Bedford visting Alicia this weekend. He drank wine, cooked food, had Frank over to play and did some work on the computer, (he is always on that thing). He let me chew mom's pillows, and did not let me pee in the bathroom, and he was really good about taking me for walks.

I like the break from mom, always needing to pet me. I am growing up and now I need a bit of space. I hope he comes again and shares his Ice-cream with me this time! Thanks josh for taking such good care of me!

Fun Times at a Fun Party

Mom threw a super fun Fundraising party last night. The party was to support the play "Suburbia" by Eric Bogosian.

Mom is directing it with Red Star productions.
The best part of the party was the cheap drink specials, and the super cool raffell. People won all sorts of fun stuff such as "The Cheap Date" a box of condoms and a large bottle of Wine, and "Tequilla Suprise", a bottle of Tequilla and mix and glasses to match. Mom's friend Katie who is also in the show, and one of the producers with her came up with all of thoes! Thanks to her, and the rest of the theatre company, the cast, and all who came A fun time was had by all. Now the next test will be filling the theatre and making sure the content of the play is clear. I have faith in mom and the cast I know that they can do it!

mom's back in the game.

It's on now. The oscar was won by Swank, and mom's wrist is healed from getting a tattoo. She had to take a break from the pull-up's, but now game on. She has started to mentally prepare for the feet she has to acomplish by her birthday. (running a half marathon/and doing 3 sets of 10 pull-ups). I have faith that she can do it. Now she can do 5 pull-ups. then 3 pull-ups. and then 3 or 4 more. She can run 4 miles. ok so she has a way to go. But the more I talk about it the more she will have to do it. She can already lift me. So she is on the right track.

Good luck mom.

Guitar meets bicycle

There was an acoustic guitar living in my apartment for a few days. Frank has to learn how to play it for the show that he is in. He was practicing the other day and he is quite good. He wanted it to be at his apartment, and as we all know Frank does not want to take the subway unless he has to, he would rather bike. This means that he gets to show his no handed skills on his bike while transporting the guitar back to Brooklyn.

Ok. So of course Frank can manage to ride his bike and carry a guitar back to his house, and I'm sure he could do the whole trip only using the free hand when he needs it. But that is not ok with Mom.
She got scared that something was going to happen to him. So she told him that she only wanted him to do it if he kept one hand on the bike at all times.
Mom is crazy, and ended up making Frank have a sore back when he got home, because he followed her instructions.
She should have trusted his skills. Next time she will.

I am mad at mom

So mom comes home Sunday morning from Frank's after leaving me alone with her Friend Roy all night. (Roy is mom's friend who came in From San Fransisco to be in the play mom's directing). I was so excited to see her and she takes me on a walk to the pet store. I thought she was going to buy me a greenie. But boy was I wrong. She decided to buy a home grooming kit. . .

Um, is she out of her mind?
WE get home and she gives me a really really long bath, and while I am drying, she puts on the instructional DVD, which teaches her how to use the sheering razor. I know I can't see 3D and all but boy did I see the other dogs on the TV, wineing and pulling to get away from the sound the razor makes.
Mom decides she is ready to try it on her own. We go to the kitchen and she puts my coller on and begins. So I take the cue from the other dogs on the DVD and make it as hard for her as possible. I am sorry, but It is still cold out and I need my hair for pertection.
Mom finishes up after what seemed like hours and now, I have no hair and I am not going to lick her for a week. I have taken refuege under the coutch.

Take that mom, that's what you get for sheering me like a sheep.

mom put her foot in her mouth

SO as we all know mom has an obsession with being able to do a lot of pull-ups. Mom told Frank that if Hilary Swank won the best actress Oscar for Million Dollar Baby, she would have to do 3 sets of 10 pull ups unassisted, and be able to either run a half marathon (well at least 8 miles). I think she said she had to be able to do it by her birthday. Haha Hilary Swank won

and now mom has to do it. Did you know that Hilary Swank put on something like 17 pounds of muscle for the movie, and she had to wake up in the middle of the night just to eat more? Mom better use the summer wisely. Lets hope she won't make me run with her, She already tortures me with the insane amount of stairs I have to go up every day. Good thing I still have her fooled with my "fear" of going down stairs. . .

Mom's New Tat!

When it comes to self inflicted pain Mom does what she can to make it happen as often as possible. Whether it's a good flossing, multiple ear piercings, nose piercings and now a tattoo. She left me at 6:00 yesterday, I could tell she was nervous: shakey, panting like a rabid dog foaming at the mouth. She came back that evening with a brand new tatoo. It's on left wrist and it is a black diamond. She tried to explain the signifigance, but I was more interested in the smell of fresh blood, which was oozing out. She wouldn't let me lick it and I wasn't allowed to sleep in the same bed because I could have ruined the designed. I was really hoping that she would have gotten my face tattooed on her wrist, but I guess for the first tattoo, she just wanted to do a black diamond. From what I've seen, people who get a tattoo like it so much that they end up getting another. I'll give it another month or so until there's a bichon face on her shoulder that bears a strong resemblence to yours truly.

Music

Mom loves music so much that is all I listen to all day,

when the Ashlee Simpson show is not on.
I am beginging to think that Mom loves music more than me.
Frank told mom about this great new softwear LIMEWIRE. It lets you acess any song you want over the internet for free. It workes that way because Anyone who has I-tunes has agreed to have the music they have on it shared. It is a file sharing program. I am still in limbo about weather or not I agree with it being free, but hey I'm not complaining and still downloading songs.
Some other local bands that mom loves and everyone should be a fan of are.
The Dwight Ritcher Band
oneiris
Early May
Scott Peterson
Ahab Seamus

Of course there are more but that's all I am gonna give you for now!

Vegas

It is so easy to procrastinate and spend time in noisey places to feel furfilled. I spent the last few days going to bars that I am a regular at. During that time and after money was spent, I found myself wondering what is the point? I go to Shade and eat a Creap with mom, go to The Dove and have a glass of over priced wine, and then maybe to XR bar and visit Katie and Todd. After all of that I am still where I was at the beginging of the night, and maybe I will have scored a card or a number of someone who in a drunkin promise says that they will help me with one of my on going projects. After it all what do you get except for credit card debt?
Mom and Frank last night went to The Cellar, and said goodbye to Franks friend Sam because he is going away for like 3 months to work for a Magician in Vegas at the Aladdin hotel.

Hell I would go to Vegas to get a break. To work on something I could put on my resume, to be out of the city in a hotel. I live through others and escape in non realities, and romance my way to a life that is not in the cards right now.. And the best part of it all is that Sam gets to make enough money to pay off his credit cards!

why nyc

I wonder as I am getting yet another bath why I live in NYC. Mom always said that this is the the city where everything happens, this is the place where dreams come true and this is where you need to be, to be artistic. Is that true? I feel artistic when I see a good movie, when I hear good music, and when I come up with a great new idea. Why do I need to be here, 7 flights up in the sky to be an artist? I have simple needs , I like to be petted, to be fed and to be walked. That could happen any where. Why do I need to fend off cock roaches, and watch mom being hit on be nasty men and walk down the street and get dirty every step? Here everyone is searching for something that only some get. And if that is not ok will all survive?

Forgotten

Julianne Moore has let me down. I am a big fan of hers but the movie "The Forgotten" wasted my time, and scared me for no reason. When it comes to the subject of wiping out memory and alian abduction I get excited. So when mom and Frank popped in the DVD I sat and waited to be thrilled. It fell Flat, the dialogue was weak and I wondered at the end of it all what favor Julianne Moore owed to someone to do that movie. There were good parts, and suspensful parts, but when Frank was more concerned with figuring out which part of Brooklyn the movie was shot in and reconizing the deli in DUMBO he had been to, I knew the movie was not a hit. I am going to give Julianne Moore another chance,

because she was so good in "Boogie Nights" my bar for her is still high.

Happy Valentines day!

Today is great because mom fed me whipped cream. She is making dessert for after dinner tonight. Mom and Frank have decided to make dinner in my kitchen instead of going out. I hope that they make steak and French Fries. I want the sause to drip on the floor. They will prob make something stupid like Fish. Oh well, mom let me help with dessert, and in helping Whip the cream I knocked the bowl on to the floor and mom let me lick it all up. I think she is just sick of wiping up my pee on the floor, and decided to let me act as a paper towel.

Happy Valentines Day to me!

Pull-up Bar

Frank got Mom a pull-up bar for Valentines Day! What a great gift! Mom loves to do pull-ups and I love to watch her swing from the bar like a monkey. I got a bit scared when Frank was drilling the holes into the door frame that I had to hide under the couch and cover my head with my paws! When the dumb sound stopped I was then able to witness mom act like a monkey and try and get buff like this guy!

new digs

Frank has gotten himself a new apartment in Greenpoint. Mom told me it is big and in a great neighborhood! Mom and Frank rode their bikes all day moving him into his new apartment. Mom said that Frank looked like a crazy old man on his bike. This was when he was wearing his helmut with the horns, had a milk crate filled on the back of his bike with a bedside table bunggied on top, with his large backpacking bag full on his back topped with his messenger bag on his front full, as well as riding no handed down the street! Too bad I won't see it anytime soon, well he has not invited me yet, well i guess I won't be comming unless mom strapps me on her bike which I am not ready to do! That's ok i just get to hear fun stories from mom, which is good enough, congrats Frank on your new digs!

Introducing Dr. Piggelstein

Frank thinks I am a Doctor. Why who knows?

All of a sudden he has taken to calling me Dr. Piggelstein. Don't get me wrong I love being treated with the utmost respect, but I am a few hairs shy from my degree. I have to say I do a lot of practicing in my labratory and there are always pleanty of samples I do and leave. I get most of my work done really late at night or during the day when mom is at work. I love that time because no one tries to hold me, or get in my way to scold me when I am working on a sample in my lab.

I'll give Frank this one and let him continue to call me Dr., and who knows onee day I may even have my degree!

BATHS

I don't like getting wet, I don't like being cold. Mom has this whole thing about me being clean and smelling nice. Since there was this big snow storm the sidewalk outside has been sloppy and dirty, as you can guess I have short leggs and get slapped and soaking wet and drentched with water.

Yesterday all the snow was melting, and mom and Frank took me to get coffee in the morning. I got wet and dirty and on the way back up all the stairs I heard mom tell Frank it was time for me to get a bath. Not only did I try to get as dirty as I could but I stoped and ate every single piece of stuff on the ground. It made mom so angrey that I was taking my time on the stairs that she ran up without me. I got to the door and I heard the sink running. Mom picked me up and put me under the water, I fought her the whole time, and splashed as much as I could. Finally Frank had to come in and hold me down while mom rinsed me.

With the two of them holding me down, I could not win. I think I am going to work on my strength for the next time I get a bath. I hear push-up's are the way to go.

SNOW DAY!!!

It is snowing in NYC so bad today. The snow almost covers my body. Mom is letting me run around on the roof and play with the snow.

It got a bit cold, but right before I froze my paws off mom picked me back up and made me all warm with a towel. Frank decided to be a crazy boy and bike in the snow. Mom was soo worried about him, but decided to let him be silly. He came over and told us both we were right, biking in this amount of snow was silly. Good thing Frank is a good biker and knows what he is doing. I am still waiting for my bike lesson. Come on Frank, you are supposted to be my positive male role model!

UPDATE: I spoke too soon when me and mom said that Frank thought that biking in this amount of snow was silly. He is completely unrepentant in his love of biking in the snow and has enjoyed every minute of getting around in the blizzard.

Mom forgot to pay the bills

Mom forgot to pay the ConED bill and they shut off the electricity. I was minding my own buisness and all of a sudden I am surrounded by darkenss. Mom's brother JR was there thank god but it is really scary to not see where you are going. Now I heard from mom that she does not want to come home untill they turn on the service because she is scared of infestation. Yuck.

Silver City

Frank decided to make mom rent "Silver City" yesterday and it turned out to be a good movie. It is a John Sayles film, which means that the cast and the acting are going to be great, and there is no doubt going to be a political messege.
The cast was stellar, Chris Cooper is always fantastic. The most shocking to me was Daryl Hannah she looked like an amazon women/olympic hopeful slut. Which brings me to amazon women, I learned that they used to cut off their boobs to make themselves better at the sport, and it helped aid in their survival.

Very interesting.
The political aspects of the movie it self were a bit scary to me, when I realized it was baced on a certian president mom did not vote for. I wont ruin it for you all but the ending makes a person want to never swim again.

Happy Birthday to Me!!!!

Today I am 1 years old!!!!! Let me give you a breif history about how I came to write this blog.
I was in a cage at the Dartmouth Mall,

When mom came in with Alica and Jude and picked me out. I loved mom right away and forced her to buy me. "How much is that Doggy in the window?" was playing in the background. They took me back to Alicia's house in New Bedford,

and I met Yukie for the first time. I was so sleep from being drugged in the Pet store so I slept on mom for hours. After smelling grass, and going for walkes it was time for me to move on and go to Boston to meet Grandma for the first time.

It was fun there but it rained and grandma talked to me in a stupid voice and petted me too much. After a few days there is was time to go on to Mom's home in NYC, I rode in a car with some of mom's brothers JR and Michael,

And they kicked me around, and played rough with me.
Mom rescued me and showed me where I would be sleeping and I started to settle in, and make NYC my home.

I met Frank a few days later and discovered the salt lick! Thanks mom for rescueing me from the Pet store and bringing me on adventures all over!

Mom Poisons Us

I am lying on the Floor taking a nap, and mom is on the phone with grandma and all is well. All of a sudden mom screams so loud it makes me run and hide under the bed, but I still keep my head out to peep the scene. She gets the hammer and starts banging it on the desk-screaming die, shit heads die. First of all the language is an issue, and second of all what is she killing? I don’t have time to find out, because she starts spraying RAID all over the desk. It smells so bad that I can’t really be in the same room with her, And it makes my hair curl.

I go to the kitchen but there is no escaping the smell. I can’t really see clearly and I am finding it hard to stand up. Mom is coughing and turns on the air conditioner, and we go and sit in the bathroom with the small window open. She tells me that a nest of baby roaches has hatched and is all over the desk. Gross, Gross! They are nasty and small and like my food dish. I understand why mom got so scared, but both of us can’t go back to the bedroom yet because the smell is so bad. Finally at 2am, we go and lie down in bed, I still can’t breath right, and mom has a headache. We go to sleep, and have Raid filled dreams.

Back without presents

Usually I am not that greedy, but considering that this was my first time away from mom for such a long time I was hopeing for a present when she came back. Katie and Rick were good to me, they took me on long walks, and fed me all sorts of treats. Mom was right all Kaite did was try on Mom's clothes, and Rick watched TV.
Mom and Frank came back at 12am, huffing and puffing up the stairs. I heard them on level D, but I waited and did not bark. Mom came running in and scooped me up and the next thing I remember was licking her neck for an hour. Frank fell asleep cause he had to get up for work at like 6:30am, but he did not get away without being licked.
All night I was sniffing around for a present, but could not find anything. In the morning I even let mom sleep later than normal, but when she woke up there was still no present. It is good to have them back, and they told me San Diego was Fun, but come on I am a bit hurt that they did not bring me a present. I'll show them, I'll leave mom a present (self-made) at the end of the bed.

Mom and Frank are leaving me

For 5 whole days, Mom and Frank are going to San Diego without me!!! That is so unfair, I want to go to California. My thought was to just drive there, cause I am not such a big fan of Airplanes, but come on I would fly. I hope I won't be scared without them, Like I was scared to go into the pool.

I have babysitters who I think are going to come and stay with me, Rick and Katie. They are mom's friends and people she is in Red Star with who live near by. I like them a lot, but all Rick does is watch Sports on the TV and Katie goes around the apartment and tries on Mom's clothes. I hope the will pet me a lot Because I am going to be sad mom is leaving for so long. I guess on the positive side I will have a lot of time to work on my Blog.

It's a sad sad day in Hollywood

It has finally happened, Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston have split. I was holding my breath all these years, and I was right couples in California can not last. What is more disturbing is that CNN, the post and others covered the Brad and Jen split and put it up along side with the tsunami disaster. As a young puppy in NYC, I am always yearning to know all the inside gossip of the stars, but this has crossed the line. When the papers and the news channels, and the Internet makes this stupid story "big news" it is so awful!

What's next, how about lets take half of the Red Cross fund and donate it to the Brad and Jen sadness fund. Maybe then it will clear up all the tears shed in Hollywood on this sad sad day,

Stand-Up Comedy

Mom and Frank dragged me to see mom's friend do live comedy. Good thing it was free because I learned from other dogs to never pay for Comedy if you are going to be stuck listening to awkward and bad other people. Judah Friedlander is who mom and Frank were there to see, I like him (but he pretends to be allergic to me).

He's really not, because I am hypo-allergic thank you very much, but he has a whole stick about it! Anyway he was performing at some comedy club down the street and they allowed me to come in or more like forced me. Once I sat down that's when the berating began. I was made fun of in a mean way, my voice was pointed out and they made fun of Frank liking me. Some women who were not even funny told Frank that he must hate to have to take mom and me out, like I'm some kind of burden. Judah finally came on stage, and told the audience that this place was such a dump that they had to have dogs as audience members. I think that though it is funny it was not nice. I thought he was my friend. The lesson learned is that dogs should not come to comedy clubs, Mom and Frank should only see comedy when the people are good. And lastly it is more painful to wait and listen to 3 really bad comics while waiting for the one good comic (Judah), than If I were to wax my whole body.

Why Do I have a Tail?

Over salmon and freshly made cobbler mom and Frank discussed the point of my tail.

I was thinking the same thing the other day when it was raining and it got very heavy. I was wondering why I had to drag behind me something so long and sopping wet. To my surpise, mom had already done research on this subject. When I asked her, between my barks and begging for salmon, she took me into the other room, sat me down and told me the truth. I felt as if my search for Santa Clause was happening again. It turns out there is no point for my tail. If I was reared in England back when dogs were used for hunting and herding then my tail would have been "docked" because no one wanted to pay the luxery tax for having a non-working canine. I am, of course, a luxurious dog and would have demanded that my fluff stay on the end. But, if it would have saved mom a lot of tax money, I would have gone through with it. As it is, I used it from time to time to swat away flies in the summertime and to show just how much I want a piece of multi-berry cobbler.

Happy New Year!!!

Last night Frank let me drink Champagne out of his glass. Mom had saved this really nice bottle of Champagne, (a 1990 Dom Perignon) and chilled it and broke it out to toast 2005! I could tell that it was some of the best Champagne that Mom and Frank had tasted. It was even better when Frank bent down and let me drink directly from his glass. After a few more sipps I was trashed and went to lay down in my bag and started to dream about being back in Florida

and let the new year roll in. Frank and Mom then went to a party in a NYU Dorm. Funny Right! It was actually a party thrown by the Woman who is the dorm manager, so she had the coolist apartment. It is a huge, huge, huge 1 bedroom with a view to die for. Mom and Frank came home later that night raving about the place, and mom was even more excited that there were 3 Siamese cats there.

I hope she gets one, I really want a playmate.

Mom and Frank deeply depressed after seeing "Hotel Rwanda"

Wow, mom and Frank sure were in a good mood before they went out the the Angelica last night. They were talking and drinking and laughing, you know, havin a swell ol' time. Then they went and saw Hotel Rwanda and when they came back they weren't feeling so hot. They talked for a long time and then went to sleep and had wierd dreams, both of them. Me, I had a dream that my testicles grew back and that I was humping this female American Bulldog I met in Washington Square Park the other day.

All things Grandma

I am going to take this time to talk about Grandma. She is mom's mom, and she lives in Boston. I've only gotten to see her a few times, but every time I do see her all she wants to do is hold me and pet me. She is not the type of Lady to get down on her hands and knees and rough house with me, but there was this one time she ran all around her old house getting me to chase her! Grandma does not understand that I am a young dog and can not stay that still for that long. So I decided to jump out of her arms.

If I let her know there is a time limit on holding me she will learn. I do wish that she lived closer to Mom because then I would get treats and presents from her all the time. She is always sending Mom these large packeges in the mail full of usless things, and sometimes there's a treat in there for me! The only bad thing about her is that she will not let me lick her neck or kiss her on the lips. She is always saying "lips that touch dog lips will Never touch mine" I think that is from the peanuts cartoon. Well, Grandma if you read this, I love you and I want you to live closer,

but only if you let me lick you where I want!

Leaving Florida

I have to say my fun in the sun days are comming to an end. Today I have to leave Florida.

My uncle, JR almost almost fed me from the counter today! But then instead he threw me in the air and I landed on the coutch, good thing it was soft. He really loves to throw me around, he did it evey chance he could get.

I guess he was just getting back at me because at 6:30 this morning I wanted to wake up mom and JR to go and play. It was really great getting to know Asley the poodle, and it was even better pushing her in the pool! Now, Grandma is dissing me because they sat me up on the kitchen counter right next to a heeping plate of left over roast beef and I could not figure out how to get to it! Tonight when I am back in NYC I will wait untill mom is asleep and pee all over the floor, that what she gets for teasing me in Florida.

My First Christmas ( a dog's dream)

I love Florida, It is warm and mom is in a good mood, and I got to see Grandma!!!!! I love Grandma she talkes to me in this stupid voice and pets me a lot. We got picked up at the Airport by mom's brother JR and Michael and her "aunt/Grandma's bestfriend" and again had to be in a car. That car ride was ok because, it was short and as soon as it was over there were so many other dogs! Ashley the poodle, Ranger the Mutt, and Jasmin the golden retriver. They were so big and warm, Florida dogs pant a lot. I was welcomed into this great home, and got to run free. There was this big tree in the house, and I went right over to pee on it, and learned that that is not good, and the tree was there for something called Christmas.

All of these people came over to the house, and I got to smell what I heard mom call "old lady perfume", she's right it is bad. I got three litte packeges wrapped in paper, and got to chew it all with out getting yelled at! Under the paper was, a bone and a ball and chewy! All for me!!! All of a sudden mom decided to jump in to the pool, all the other dogs jumped in right after her all except me.

She swam around and played with all the balls and I could not go in to the pool. I don't like water and I was afraid of drowning. Mom finally got out of the pool and then I got to go on a really really long walk on all grass! Later that night I got to eat steak at the table and sleep on a really great carpet. If it were up to me Christmas would be every day!

Planes

Mom had the bright idea to take me with her to Florida for my first Christmas. I have to admit I was begining to like the cold weather and the streets of New York City. So I had to go the the most awful place again the other day the VET. I got a shot and my butt felt up. I am in good health, but mom took the lady aside and whispered something to her. What was it you ask, well I did not find out untill the next day.
Mom and Frank kissed eachother goodbye and I got shoved in to a bag, put in a cab and rode with mom to the Airport! I made a point of crying the whole car ride because as we all know I do not like car trips. I got out at the place mom called the airport and had to go through the security check. I took that oppertunity to vomit because all the new smells were making me mad.

I was put back in "the bag" and fed this little pill . . . Slowley I could not see, I could not whine, I could not stand. A little while later, I got put under a seat with mom's feet next to me and started to vibrate. There were all these loud noises and I was stuck in a bag and could not see mom and all of a sudden we were going up. (Please keep in mind that during all of this I was soo tired I could only see out of my left eye.) So we are up somewhere, and I am too tired to care and now my ears are really hurting, it is easly for me to get rid of the pain cause I just yawned, but I heard mom from above telling some lady that her ears hurt so bad and she could not hear. A while later we started going down, I was starting to wake up and I was still stuck in this bag, I was starting to wonder when I was going to be able to pee. It was just all too much for me and just as I was going to pee we hit the ground and mom took me out of the bag and I saw that we were on a plane. Wow, I had only heard and read about these things and I was too drugged up and stuck in a bag to enjoy it.

Lets just hope Florida is fun and will make up for that plane ride.

They went to the Zoo without me!!!

Mom and Frank went all the way to the Bronx Zoo and left me behind. Places like that are meant for me to visit. I would fit right in, I would pee outside right along side the Camel's. Mom was way too excited about the outing because she was singing that stupid song "I'm going to the zoo zoo zoo, How about you you you" I can't really hear melodies like that coming out of mom, it makes my fur crawl. Frank really wanted to see all the Monkeys because as he told mom, his great Grandfather was the head Vet there and was the first Vet to introduce the Sterile technique. His Great Grandfather sounded pretty amazing, because he used to bring home the monkeys to make them better, and his Daughter (Franks Grandma) used to get to play with them.
Frank told me an interesting fact that mom is not supposed to know, his grandma used to be able to bite her toenails off with her teeth! That is soo cool.
It was a free day at the Zoo, so all they were asking for were donations. Which meant as Mom and Frank found out some of the animals were nowhere to be found. They spent a good half an hour looking in the cage for the Okapis which is s relative to the Zebra and Giraffe. It turns out it just was not in the cage.

Oh well, next time they will go back on a paying day and bring me too. Later that Frank was soo tired after walking around the zoo all day and cooking a really great dinner for mom that he fell asleep on me.

Biking in the Snow

Last night was the first snow I have ever seen. I got to taste this white stuff and watch it fall from the sky. Mom told me that pretty soon I was going to have to start wearing a warmer coat because the snow and the wind could get really cold. Mom rode her bike in the snow for the first time also. Frank and her went to Brooklyn last night to Shannon and Tim's Christmas party. They rode over the Williamsberg bridge and got to see the snowy city from the other side of the river. I was glad when she got back home, because I was a bit scared for her. I was not even mad that she was so drunk she fell asleep on the bed in all her clothes with her shoes on, and left me on the floor to shiver.

Party on 207th street

Mom and Frank rode their bikes all the way up town to 207th street to attend a Christmas party without me. The party was at Franks's friends Jenn and Rose's house. There was even another dog there, but I heard that she was not allowed to come out and play because she ate too many baby hot dogs off the table. Good for her, if I was taller I would be doing the same. Sometimes mom puts me up high and I am taller.

Mom told me she got to see parts of NY that she had never seen before, like the west side bike path all the way to the bridge and all the hills that are in upper Manhattan. Which brings up the point that Frank was trying to make, Where did Manhattan get it's name? I did some research to find out, "William Wallace Tooker seems to have done the most thorough research around 1900. He determined that Manahttan probably derives from the Delaware Indian word mannah "island" and the northern Algonquian suffix meaning "hills": hatin, making Manhattan a "hilly island"." So not only did mom bike the farthest she ever has, but she learned something too.

It was a cathartic experience for all

I peed on the floor, I'll admit it. I just got so upset because mom was crying and using up all the tissue. Frank was being so nice to her and picking up all her tissues before they hit the floor. I was being ignored, so I had to do something about it. When people are in my house I need to be the center of attention at all times. For good measure I peed again in the same spot 20 minutes later when their backs were turned. After my loosening of the bladder and punishment, Mom and Frank left me to go see a Movie. I was willing to go with them but they told me I was not old enought to watch violence. Turns out that it was not just violence, when they came back from "Million Dollar Baby" they were depressed. And It was my turn to hand out the Kleenex.

And in other news I am 11 months old today!

The attack of the leg warmer

Since the weather has gotten colder I have begun to shiver each time I go outside for my walks. Mom had the bright idea to start making me wear a sweater. Now, I am not a cute little dog that loves to be dressed up and primped and put in a bag and never touch the ground. I am a rough and tumble boy, who wants to destroy the fact that I got a bath last night. I yearn to rub my face in the mud. Mom does not agree. Mom decides what I wear, and now she has taken to making me wear one of her old leg warmers that she cut up to fit me. It is kinda cute with the holes she cut in it for my paws but come on the Flash Dance look was soo 1980's. I like to keep up with the times, and I am afriad my outfit's do not. Lets hope that the other's in the dog run take a blind eye.

Mom Returns Home Without Bringing Me Pizza

Mom went out with Positive-Male-Role-Model-Frank last night for beer with free pizza at The Allgator Lounge in Williamsberg. They each had a pizza and mom felt a little guilty about it, most likely because she didn't bring any of it home to me. Instead of pizza, I shredded up and at an entire roll of paper towels. it was fun.
In other news, I've been spending a lot of time in the new dog carrier, it's my new favorite nap spot
Mom also got a new basket for her bike from Frank as a Hannuka present. Perhaps she'll decide to scare the living crap out of me and give me a ride in it.

The Flu has taken over my house

Mom has the Flu really bad. I don't get to go on walks, and she makes me sleep all day next to her. Last night Frank was here and mom was soo sick that she needed every blanket on her and was too cold to cuddle me or Frank. I had a field day when at like 3am mom's fever broke and she was covered in sweat, I got to lick it off!!!! That was even better than Frank's salt lick. I think that the Flu is going around because the building smells different and Carlos our Landlord is sick too, because he did not give me a treat today. Instead him and mom talked about who was sicker. I hope mom feels better by tommorow because I am trying to be really good, but I am going to need to go on a big boy walk soon. I am Not ok with Just going outside of the apartment building. I will not pee on the side of my building anymore!

mom works too much

Mom is at work now for too long. I think that I should have a babysitter, or Alicia should not work and stay over all the time. I really love all her dirty clothes. Frank only comes over when mom is there, I never get to see him alone. One time he took me for a walk all around the neighborhood just me and him, that was soo much fun. I think that everyone should be independantly wealthy, or I should have a babysitter, or I should get a playmate (a girlfriend) I was thinking that a havanese is a great breed, or maybe a maltese. Who knows I am open to anything. Christmas is comming soon, so I will keep my paws crosses!

Red hair tastes good

I have a love affair with Alicia's hair. It is red and long and has streaks of color. She is sleeping on my coutch right now and it is at the exact right level to climb up and munch on while she is sleeping. I love it and wonder if I can get sick from eating too much hair. If that does not make me sick I bet eating all her dirty laundry will!!!

I am a sleepy dog

I think that my vacation over Thanksgiving put my in a funk. All I do all day now is sleep. I think that there is something wrong with me, and mom thinks so too. I wake up in the morning and pee out side. I come back inside and sleep. I wake up to have a mid morning snack, and then go back to sleep. I wake up again aroung the time mom usually comes back from work to greet her and go for my walk, but come home and sleep some more. This has been happening for 3 whole days now! What is going on, I have almost lost my energy to work on this blog. I think those other dogs in New Bedford (the ones who gave me Flea's) got me sick. The only thing that I can seem to do other than sleep or eat is, lick Frank's neck. Ok getting sleepy, more later.
